I watched this like years ago, and it's definitely something you, my fellow human beings should look into...that is if you like romance, and comedy. So here's what is going on, after her mother's death, (she was an amazing woman) Tohru Honda finds herself living with the Sohma family consisting of three cousins: Yuki, the 'prince charming' (he really is -sighs-) of their high school, Kyo the hot headed, short tempered outcast, and Shigure the mischievous novelist, if not sometimes that of a pervert. Tohru finds out the Sohma family secret that when a member is hugged by the opposite gender or they are tired out, they turn into the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac. Filled with many lovable and adorable characters and many plot twists along the way, life at the Sohma house will never be the same again!
Here's the basic character Chinese Zodiac.
Tohru ----> Just a regular human being.
Yuki ------> Rat...a very cute one.
Kyo --------> Cat like me.
Shigure -----> He's a dog...which is the year I was born in. his personality matches mine quite perfectly. I am sure everyone can relate to that.
Akito -----> He's quite cruel, but he calls himself God of the Zodiac or One whom controls the Zodiac...I come to believe he is a Rooster, so he's a cock. -______-
So now with the love interest. It's kind of a love triangle. I do not believe Yuki has no feelings for Tohru. It might be a crush. Kyo definitly has some kind of feelings for Tohru. Want to know the funny part...Yuki and Kyo hate each other. Yuki hates Kyo because ...well he doesn't really. He gets frustrated with Kyo because according to him "He doesn't realize what he has." Kyo gets easily accepted by outsiders but not by his own "family". As for Kyo's side of the story he hates Yuki because one: well Yuki just irritates him, two: Yuki is better at many things that Kyo isn't like martial arts, and that fact that Yuki is "accepted in the zodiac family". (Cats aren't part of the zodiac) So it's a big dramarama. AS for me I'd like to cuddle on my pillow and sleep till something important happens. ^w^
It's a very good interesting anime. I think it's something you should definitely add to your list if you like romance and love triangles and of course comedy.
